Job summary

Harmar Mobility is seeking a Mechanical Engineer II to join the engineering team. You will work with seasoned engineers on sustaining and new product innovation for mobility products. The engineer will help implement development methodologies, ensure manufacturability, and foster innovation within the department.

The role collaborates with cross‑functional teams and reports to the Engineering Manager to align business goals with technical execution and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience developing mechanical and electro‑mechanical systems.
• Proficient in design for manufacturability and design controls.
• Strong CAD experience with SolidWorks is preferred.
• Understanding of DFMEA/PFMEA, FEA, GD&T, risk analysis, and root cause investigations.

Responsibilities

• Develop mechanical and electro‑mechanical systems for lift products from concept through production.
• Evaluate concepts for function, manufacturability, packaging, and material handling.
• Review final drawings with critical dimensions, performance specs, GD&T, and quality procedures.
• Create prototypes, perform testing, and ensure products meet specifications and timing objectives.
• Develop and evaluate cost analyses from design through production launch; assist mass production.
