Arc Boats Co. seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer for its Torrance office to design new electric and hybrid propulsion systems for commercial vessels. You’ll work on the Commercial Systems team, report to the head of commercial systems, and contribute to making port operations cheaper, quieter, and less emissive.

This is a full-time, on-site role in Los Angeles area. You will own panel layouts, IO allocation, testing, and bench systems, with travel 5–10% for sea trials and field data

Formación

• 2+ years of experience as an Electrical Engineer or similar role.
• Strong fundamentals in control panel design and low voltage distribution.
• Experience with electrical design software: Zuken, EPLAN, AutoCAD Electrical.
• Experience specifying industrial automation and networking hardware (PLCs, IO modules, etc.).
• Experience with Ethernet/IP, PROFINET, Modbus, CAN.
• Experience designing, building, and troubleshooting electrical panels.

Responsabilidades

• Translate high-level control architectures into detailed, manufacturable hardware definitions and panel layouts.
• Own logical IO allocation, schematics, and 2D/3D panel layouts.
• Generate manufacturing data packages, including BOMs, wire lists, and terminal diagrams.
• Hands-on wiring, testing, and debugging both high and low voltage systems.
• Develop bench test systems and ensure parity with production vessels.
• Support sea trials to validate and certify systems.
• Interface with component suppliers, partner shipyards, and vessel operators; travel 5-10%.
