Job summary

AEP is seeking a Maintenance Engineering professional to support the EFIn team on plant needs, outages, and routine evaluations. You will work under supervision to apply engineering knowledge across electrical systems, instrumentation, and controls, providing analyses and solutions to support operations and maintenance goals.

The role emphasizes collaboration with planning, maintenance, and operations, requires in-person work, and may include night/weekend shifts during outages or failure

Qualifications

• Entry-level knowledge and experience applying theory to solve well-defined problems or provide analysis, with guidance from higher-level engineers.

Responsibilities

• Assist higher-level engineers in handling routine portions of more complex problems and analyses.
• Coordinate work activities of others to resolve routine engineering tasks.
• Contribute to project planning documents and scheduling under supervision.
• Prepare basic cost estimates and support scheduling and budgeting activities.
• Assist in reports and technical papers and communicate findings clearly.
