Job summary

Belcan Corporation in Mossville, IL seeks an Electrical Engineer to lead legacy electronic component projects in a full-time, in-office role. You will manage sustainment, obsolescence mitigation and change control for CAT electronics.

The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and labs to validate designs, drive validation plans, and ensure documentation conformity with CAT standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with legacy or NPI electronic hardware.
• Experience with CAT electronic control modules and telematics.
• Familiar with obsolescence management and component sustainment.
• Experience coordinating validation testing with labs.

Responsibilities

• Lead legacy sustainment and obsolescence mitigation tasks.
• Own technical deliverables for design families, including analysis and documentation.
• Ensure tasks meet schedules and escalate risks early.
• Maintain accurate engineering records and lifecycle plans.
• Coordinate with suppliers for component end-of-life and redesign needs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and labs for validation.
