Job summary

IAPMO in San Jose, CA is seeking highly skilled Electrical Engineers at mid and senior levels to join a expanding team focused on innovative electrical systems across advanced projects. You will design, develop, test, and optimize electronics, collaborate across mechanical and software groups, mentor juniors, and lead reviews while ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 6+ years hands-on experience in electrical design, analysis, and system development from prototype to production.
• Proficiency with schematic entry tools (e.g., Altium Designer, Cadence).
• Understanding of PCBA manufacturing process and DFx principles.
• Strong knowledge of circuit theory, power systems, and electromechanical design.
• Ability to work cross-functionally in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both technical and non-technical.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test electrical systems and components across a range of advanced tech projects.
• Collaborate with mechanical, software, and project teams to integrate electrical designs into larger systems.
• Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and cost estimations.
• Analyze and optimize electrical circuits and systems using simulation and modeling tools.
• Generate clear, detailed documentation—schematics, specs, reports—for internal teams.
• Lead or contribute to technical reviews and project planning.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory and industry standards.
• Support prototyping, validation, and troubleshooting to ensure performance and reliability.
