Job summary

MEA Energy in San Jose is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design on large commercial projects from concept through construction documents. The role focuses on power distribution, lighting, controls, and building infrastructure for data centers and labs.

You will coordinate across disciplines, support field teams with RFIs, and ensure Title 24 and NEC compliance. 5+ years of building electrical design experience and proficiency in Revit MEP and AutoCAD are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of building electrical design experience at an MEP firm or design-build contractor
• Proficient in Revit MEP and AutoCAD
• Ability to lead design on large-scale projects
• Working knowledge of NEC and Title 24 preferred
• Degree in electrical or architectural engineering or equivalent design experience
• PE license a strong plus

We are recruiting a Senior Electrical Engineer on behalf of a well-established electrical design-build contractor in San Jose. The firm works on complex, large-scale projects with a strong concentration in data centers and technical lab facilities. The engineering team is growing in response to an active and expanding project pipeline.

What you'll do

• Lead electrical design on large commercial projects from concept through construction documents
• Design and calculate power distribution, lighting, controls, and associated building infrastructure
• Prepare Title 24 compliance documentation
• Coordinate across engineering disciplines and with construction operations
• Support the field team with RFIs and construction-phase questions

What we're looking for

• 5+ years of building electrical design experience at an MEP firm or design-build contractor
• Production-level proficiency in Revit MEP and AutoCAD
• Demonstrated ability to lead design on an above-average scale and complexity
• Working knowledge of the NEC, California code, and Title 24 experience preferred
• Degree in electrical or architectural engineering, or equivalent design experience
• PE license an strong plus
