Job summary

Black & Veatch Family of Companies in Dallas, TX seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer for water/wastewater projects. Lead electrical design, provide client-guided technical direction, and support business development.

The role covers power distribution, coordination with design teams, and startup/testing activities as needed. Ideal candidates bring 11+ years of electrical design experience, a TX PE license (or US equivalence), and strong skills in SKM/ETAP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (ABET-accredited) required or equivalent
• Minimum 11 years related work experience in electrical design for water/wastewater
• Professional Engineer license in TX or another US jurisdiction preferred
• Experience with medium and low voltage power distribution equipment (VFDs, diesel gensets)
• Experience in client-facing/business development and project BD support
• Power system analysis experience in SKM, ETAP or similar software a plus

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design for water/wastewater projects
• Provide technical guidance on client standards to engineering staff
• Serve as technical expert in electrical distribution for client engagements
• Support business development related to electrical services
• Build and maintain client relationships to understand needs and drivers
• Coordinate with local and remote design teams and review submittals
