Job summary

Syska Hennessy Group in Washington DC is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer IV to join our design team. You will create basic designs under the direction of the Senior Engineer and develop specifications, system narratives, and layouts for a range of projects.

You will participate in QA/QC, assist with project scheduling and budgets, and perform construction administration and field inspections. Proficiency in REVIT and AutoCAD MEP, along with a PE license or FE/EIT, is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an Accredited Institution.
• 7+ years of experience working in a consulting firm.
• Current PE registration preferred; FE/EIT required.
• LEED AP, highly preferred.
• REVIT and the latest version of AutoCAD MEP experience.
• Proficient in design and calculation software.

Responsibilities

• Creating basic designs under the direction of the Senior Engineer and/or Senior Designer.
• Developing specifications, system narratives, and system layouts for various projects.
• Participating in QA/QC and assisting in scheduling, manpower and project budgets.
• Performing construction administration and field investigations, including field inspections and detailed reports.
• Assisting in processing RFIs, Change Orders, Bulletins, and Addenda.
