Job summary

Cleveland-Cliffs Mansfield Works is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our maintenance and engineering team in Mansfield, OH. You will troubleshoot equipment issues, improve reliability, and support major maintenance activities to keep operations running safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of experience with industrial electrical systems, motors, drives, and control systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
• Strong communication, analytical, and time management skills.
• Ability to lead projects, influence teams, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Must be able to work extended hours to support operations and maintenance outages.
• Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot equipment failures and identify root causes.
• Develop and implement corrective actions to improve reliability.
• Support planning maintenance outages, downturn repairs, and preventive maintenance activities.
• Coordinate equipment inspections and manage spares and inventory cost controls.
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to improve equipment performance.
• Support the installation and startup of new electrical equipment and technologies.
• Conduct safety and quality observations and help address identified concerns and defects.
• Assist with developing and updating Job Safety and Health Analyses (JSHAs).
• Perform other duties as assigned.
