Job summary

Crafco, Inc. in Chandler, AZ, seeks an Equipment Electrical Engineer to lead electrical and software development for our machinery.

You will design wiring harnesses, control systems, and interfaces using Solid Edge or similar CAD tools, and work with PLCs, HMIs, and robotics within production constraints. Under the Equipment Engineering Manager, you’ll analyze, prototype, test, and implement designs, support customers, update BOMs in SAP, and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Electrical engineering degree or equivalent; 4 years preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of electrical design experience in industrial machinery.
• Experience with wiring harness design and control systems.
• Proficiency with PLC/HMI programming; IEC61131 knowledge is a plus.
• Familiarity with SAP/ERP and MS Office; strong CAD skills.

Responsibilities

• Create electrical and software designs with CAD; develop schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Design, test, and implement wiring harnesses and control systems.
• Program and integrate PLC/HMI systems to control equipment functions.
• Develop and test robotic integrations and maintain product lifecycle from concept to production.
• Provide technical support to customers and internal teams; update BOMs in SAP.
• Prepare monthly project updates and quarterly presentations.
• Ensure documentation accuracy and comply with safety and quality standards.
