Job summary

Crafco, Inc. in Chandler, AZ is seeking an Equipment Electrical Engineer to design, test and improve electrical systems for our equipment line.

The role focuses on wiring harnesses, control systems, PLC/HMI development, and integration with robotic systems to support production goals. You will work under the Equipment Engineering Manager, create CAD drawings, program PLC/HMI, and ensure compliance with product life cycle from concept to field deployment.

Qualifications

• Requires Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent; 4+ years preferred
• Minimum 5 years of electrical design experience in industrial machinery, construction equipment, automotive or aerospace
• Experience with wire harness design and implementation
• Proficient with HMI/PLC programming and IEC61131 standards is desirable
• ERP/MRP software experience (SAP preferred)
• Proficient in MS Office and 3D CAD software
• Self-starter with good time management and strong communication skills
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs

Responsibilities

• Create wiring harnesses and control system drawings using Solid Edge and AutoCAD
• Design, test and improve wiring harnesses for machinery
• Develop and test PLC and HMI control systems for equipment
• Program and integrate robotic systems as needed
• Support product life cycle from design to production
• Provide technical support to customers and internal teams
• Maintain BOMs and SAP routing data
• Publish project reports and quarterly briefings
• Maintain organized, safe workspace and stay current with tech
• Travel to customer locations as required
