Lever, Inc. in Baton Rouge, LA is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to design and commission industrial control panels for HVAC systems, and to program PLCs and HMIs across multiple platforms.

You will develop schematics, ensure compliance with UL 508A and NEC standards, troubleshoot during build and commissioning, and collaborate with engineering and production to translate requirements into robust control solutions.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Experience designing UL 508A control panels from scratch.
• Familiarity with NEC 500-505 and UL 508A standards.
• Experience with PLC/HMI programming for HVAC/refrigeration equipment.
• Ability to read and create electrical schematics.

Responsabilités

• Design UL 508A control panels from scratch: enclosure selection, component selection, and internal layout.
• Develop electrical schematics and panel drawings (EPLAN experience a plus).
• Program and configure PLCs and HMIs for HVAC/refrigeration equipment (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Carel, Honeywell/Johnson Controls, Danfoss, or Emerson).
• Write and troubleshoot control logic in ladder logic, structured text, function block diagram, and/or C/C++.
• Partner with engineering and production to translate system requirements into control solutions.
• Support controls integration for explosion-proof/hazardous-location equipment (NFPA 496, Class I/II Div 1 & 2 a plus).
• Troubleshoot panels and wiring during build, test, and commissioning.
• Maintain BOMs and support UL field-labeling/certification.
