Job summary

Woolpert in Fairview Heights, IL, is seeking an Electrical Engineer‑In‑Training to join our Electrical Engineering team. You will contribute to construction‑ready design packages and work under a Professional Engineer on a multidisciplinary team.

This role emphasizes field investigations, data analysis, and collaboration, with opportunities for growth, hands‑on project experience, and exposure to cutting‑edge technology in a culture committed to innovation and career development.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET/EAC-accredited program.
Ability to participate in field investigations.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret basic scientific, technical, financial, and legal documents.

Responsibilities

Perform engineering computations, evaluations, design analyses, and design development.
Prepare plans, specifications, reports, cost estimates, recommendations, and opinions for approval by a supervising Professional Engineer.
Apply standard engineering practices to adjust and correlate data; recognize and resolve discrepancies in results and follow operations through related steps.
Work as a member of a project team in the development of data and/or applications and use CAD to develop engineering and design documents.
Serve as a field engineer during construction of a project.
