Job summary

NKC of America is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design, develop, and improve electrical systems for our conveyor products. You will conceptualize, test, implement, and document control systems for Power & Free, Slat, Friction, and EMS conveyors.

The role requires a BS in electrical engineering, 3+ years in manufacturing/construction, PLC experience (Allen-Bradley/Siemens), and proficiency with MS Office. Travel up to 25% is expected.

Qualifications

• BS degree in electrical engineering or related discipline (BSEE).
• 3+ years of engineering experience in manufacturing/construction.
• Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) such as Allen-Bradley or Siemens.
• MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and general computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Prepare technical drawings, specifications of electrical systems to conform to standards and customer requirements.
• Operate CAD/engineering software to perform tasks.
• Confer with engineers, customers on projects or products.
• Design, implement, maintain, or improve electrical systems for conveyor types (Power & Free, Slat, Friction, EMS).
• Prepare material/equipment specifications for purchases.
• Perform detailed calculations to establish standards or specifications.
• Willing to travel for site projects (25% travel).

As an Electrical Engineer at NKC of America, you'll be an integral part of a team that designs, develops, and improves electrical systems and components for our conveyor systems. Under general direction, the Electrical Engineer will conceptualize, construct, test, implement, and document control systems for various conveyor types, including Power and Free, Slat, Friction, and EMS systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare technical drawings, specifications of electrical systems, or topographical maps to ensure that installation and operations conform to standards and customer requirements.
• Operate computer-assisted engineering or design software or equipment to perform engineering tasks.
• Confer with engineers, customers, or others to discuss existing or potential engineering projects or products.
• Design, implement, maintain, or improve electrical instruments, equipment, facilities, components, products, or systems for commercial, industrial, or domestic purposes.
• Prepare specifications for purchases of materials or equipment.
• Perform detailed calculations to compute and establish manufacturing, construction, or installation standards or specifications.
• Willing to travel for site projects (25% travel required)

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• BS degree in electrical engineering or related discipline (BSEE degree )
• 3+ years of Engineering Experience in the manufacturing/and or construction industry
• Programming Logic Controllers (PLC) (e.g. Allen-Bradley, Siemens)
• MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and general computer literacy
• Experience with Automotive Conveyors Systems a Plus
