Job summary

NKC of America in Memphis, TN is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design, develop, and improve electrical systems for conveyor products. Under general direction, you will conceptualize, test, implement, and document control systems for Power and Free, Slat, Friction, and EMS conveyors.

The role requires a BS in electrical engineering, 3+ years in manufacturing/construction, PLC programming experience (Allen-Bradley, Siemens), and proficiency with MS Office.

Qualifications

• BS degree in electrical engineering or related discipline (BSEE degree preferred).
• 3+ years of engineering experience in manufacturing/construction.
• Programming Logic Controllers (PLC) experience (Allen-Bradley, Siemens).
• MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and general computer literacy.
• Experience with Automotive Conveyors Systems a Plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare electrical drawings and specifications to meet standards and customer requirements.
• Operate computer-aided design or design software to perform tasks.
• Confer with engineers or customers to discuss projects or products.
• Design, implement, maintain, or improve electrical systems for conveyors.
• Prepare material/equipment purchase specifications.
• Perform calculations to establish manufacturing or installation standards.
• Travel to site projects (up to 25%).

As an Electrical Engineer at NKC of America, you'll be an integral part of a team that designs, develops, and improves electrical systems and components for our conveyor systems. Under general direction, the Electrical Engineer will conceptualize, construct, test, implement, and document control systems for various conveyor types, including Power and Free, Slat, Friction, and EMS systems.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Prepare technical drawings, specifications of electrical systems, or topographical maps to ensure that installation and operations conform to standards and customer requirements.
• Operate computer-assisted engineering or design software or equipment to perform engineering tasks.
• Confer with engineers, customers, or others to discuss existing or potential engineering projects or products.
• Design, implement, maintain, or improve electrical instruments, equipment, facilities, components, products, or systems for commercial, industrial, or domestic purposes.
• Prepare specifications for purchases of materials or equipment.
• Perform detailed calculations to compute and establish manufacturing, construction, or installation standards or specifications.
• Willing to travel for site projects (25% travel required)

Education And Experience

• BS degree in electrical engineering or related discipline (BSEE degree preferred)
