Job summary

United Launch Alliance seeks an Operational Facility Systems Electrical Engineer to join the Engineering and Infrastructure Operational Facility Systems team, focusing on electrical/power systems at launch sites.

You will support day-to-day design, maintenance and operations, develop test procedures, and ensure compliance with NEC/NFPA, NFPA 70E. The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and collaboration in a mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with 4 or more years of experience working electrical/power engineering in an Aerospace, Utilities, or similarly complex environment.
  • Functional application of NEC/NFPA 70 and 72.
  • Knowledge of NFPA 70E.
  • Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Office products Excel, Word, Power Point and Project.

Responsibilities

  • Day to day execution of launch facility design, maintenance and operations – focusing on operational electrical systems.
  • Facility electrical support of launch operations (WDR, Roll, ILC).
  • On-console support during major operations and testing.
  • Execute facility electrical validations and pre-launch checkouts.
  • Develop new and revise existing operational test procedures and maintenance documentation associated with launch facility electromechanical systems, primary and backup power (12kV, 480 VAC, 120VAC, 24V control, etc.).
  • Disposition of corrective actions and coordination with cross-functional groups to identify/implement solutions and drive strategic improvements relative to maintenance and production processes.
