Job summary

United Launch Alliance (ULA) at Cape Canaveral seeks an Operational Facility Systems Electrical Engineer to design, maintain, and support electrical systems for launch facilities. You will provide on-site electrical support during operations, develop test procedures, and coordinate with teams to ensure readiness for launch activities.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering with at least four years of related experience, knowledge of NEC/NFPA codes, and strong MS Office skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with 4+ years in aerospace/complex environments.
  • Experience with NEC/NFPA 70 and 72.
  • Knowledge of NFPA 70E.
  • Proficient in MS Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project.

Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day execution of launch facility design, maintenance and operations focusing on electrical systems.
  • Facility electrical support for launch operations (WDR, Roll, ILC).
  • On-console support during major operations and testing.
  • Develop and revise operational test procedures and maintenance documentation for electromechanical systems, power, and controls.
  • Design, operation and maintenance of PLCs or similar firmware controllers for launch facilities.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional groups to identify and implement improvements and drive project execution.
