Job summary
Virginia Spaceport Authority is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer III to design, analyze, and support mission-critical electrical power systems for space launch operations at MARS. You will lead electrical design efforts through planning, design, commissioning and operational support, ensuring safe and reliable power delivery to ground support infrastructure.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 5 to 7 years of design engineering experience in power systems preferred.
- Experience with NEC/NFPA 70/70E/780 and related codes for aerospace or mission-critical facilities.
- PE license preferred.
- Valid driver's license required for site work.
Responsibilities
- Develop and update detailed electrical designs for spaceport power infrastructure.
- Perform load calculations, short circuit analysis, and arc flash studies.
- Review drawings, schematics, and specifications for code compliance.
- Provide technical guidance during design reviews, installation, and commissioning.
- Coordinate with Operations, Maintenance, Safety, QA, and management.
- Lead field inspections and readiness reviews to ensure safety and reliability.
