Job summary

Kansas City National Security Campus (KCNSC) seeks a highly motivated Electrical Engineer III to design, develop, evaluate and support advanced engineering projects for national security. You will lead technical tasks, analyze complex problems, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure producibility and quality.

The role requires 4+ years of experience, ABET-accredited degree in engineering or physics, travel up to 15%, and eligibility for DOE security clearance; U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or physics from ABET-accredited program.
• 4+ years of relevant engineering, analytical, or technical experience.
• Ability to travel up to 15% of the time.
• Ability to work remote, hybrid, or on-site as directed by management and needs of the business.
• U.S. Citizenship required for security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Designs and develops new products, instruments, and equipment to meet customer requirements.
• Develops production or inspection processes and methods for complex components and assemblies.
• Monitors electrical testing and troubleshoots failures.
• Establishes procedures, work instructions, and inspection criteria for new products.
• Plans and performs engineering testing and uses advanced methods to address problems and improve manufacturability.
• Refines product definitions to ensure producibility.
• Interacts with customers and supplier counterparts to resolve issues.
• Prepares evaluation reports and recommends cost-effective improvements.
• Provides project leadership and technical guidance on complex projects.
