Job summary

NEI Electric Power Engineering is seeking a mid-level Electrical Engineer for the Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) group in the Denver-area market. You will perform engineering design and analysis under the supervision of a Professional Engineer, coordinating with an integrated team to meet project schedules and budgets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology from an accredited institution, electric power option preferred.
• FE/PE is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with multi-disciplinary engineering teams to perform detailed physical and electrical design and engineering for all aspects of battery energy storage systems (BESS).
• Prepares computer-based models and performs power system studies on utility scale BESS projects as required.
• Writes material, equipment, and construction specifications.
• Reviews spec sheets and submittals for conformance with specifications and design.
• Maintains a strong understanding and comprehension of applicable Codes and Standards.
