Job description

Calpine Corporation seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer III to support the design, analysis, and reliability of electrical systems across its natural gas-fired and geothermal power plants. In this role, you will perform power system studies, develop one-line diagrams and specifications, and ensure compliance with NEC, NESC, IEEE, NERC, and other standards. You will collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to troubleshoot issues, lead root-cause analysis, and implement reliability and safety improvements. Working in a data-driven, team-oriented culture focused on environmental responsibility and operational excellence, you will contribute to cleaner energy, grid reliability, and large-scale generation projects in a dynamic, hybrid work environment.
