Job summary

Calpine Corporation seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer III to support reliable, lower-carbon power generation across its natural gas and geothermal fleet. You will design, analyze, and optimize plant electrical systems, including high, medium, and low voltage equipment, protection and control schemes, and grid interconnections.

You will perform power system studies, troubleshoot complex issues, and lead improvements that enhance safety, reliability, and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience in power system design and analysis.
• Knowledge of NEC, IEEE, NERC standards.
• Ability to collaborate with operations and project teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, and optimize plant electrical systems across HV, MV, and LV equipment.
