Qualifications

• One year as Electrical Engineer 1 or two years of professional electrical engineering experience with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
• Two years of professional electrical engineering experience on structural electrical systems with an Engineer-in-Training certificate may also satisfy requirements
• Must possess a PA Professional Engineer license and a valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Design preparation: prepare electrical design data, specifications, and drawings for construction projects
• Site assessment: conduct surveys, gather data, and prepare reports with observations and recommendations
• Project coordination: work with staff, design professionals, and officials to align plans
• Technical review: evaluate drawings, reports, cost estimates, and submittals and provide recommendations
• Problem resolution: investigate electrical issues and recommend solutions for system failures
• Inspection support: inspect sites to determine code compliance, contract adherence, and project acceptability
