Job summary

SGS Consulting in San Clemente, CA is seeking an Engineer II for a 2+ year contract to prepare engineering designs, specifications, and cost estimates in support of electric utility projects. The role requires applying technical expertise to solve electrical distribution problems, directing small projects, and coordinating input from multiple departments to meet objectives.

Candidates should have ABET-accredited engineering degree and five years of experience or PE, with strong MS Office skills

Responsibilities

Provide technical expertise to project teams for evaluating engineering problems and designs.
Coordinate and direct small projects, including scope, budget and schedule.
Direct and assist both company staff and outside contractors to complete work.
Evaluate circuits with high SAIDI/CAIDI to develop reliability improvement projects.
Prepare and present project proposals to the reliability team.
Interpret codes and standards; incorporate regulatory changes into company policies.
