Job summary

TALENT Software Services is seeking an engineer to assist in the preparation of engineering designs, specifications, standards, studies, and cost estimates for electric utility projects in the San Clemente area.

The role focuses on evaluating circuits to improve reliability, preparing project proposals, and applying technical expertise to solve complex electrical and operational problems for distribution systems.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate high SAIDI/CAIDI circuits to identify reliability improvement projects.
• Prepare and present project proposals to the reliability team.
• Apply technical expertise to solve engineering and operational problems.
• Coordinate and direct small projects including scope, budget, and schedule.
• Direct and assist team members and contractors in completing work.
• Coordinate input from various departments to meet project objectives.

Job description

The role involves preparing or assisting in the preparation of engineering designs, specifications, standards, studies, and cost estimates. The position supports projects and tasks managed by others within the Company’s electric utility departments.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate high SAIDI/CAIDI circuits to identify and develop reliability improvement projects that enhance distribution service reliability.


• Prepare and present project proposals to the reliability team.


• Candidates should have knowledge of power system studies and electrical distribution systems, as well as the ability to communicate complex electrical concepts effectively to customers.


• Applying a high level of technical expertise to solve engineering and operational problems.


• Coordinating and directing small projects and tasks, including the development of work scope, budget, and schedule.


• Directing and assisting team members, both Company employees and outside contractors, in the completion of their work.


• Coordinating input from, and participation with, various departments within the Company to meet project objectives.
