Job summary

City of Boise is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer II to serve as the engineer of record for essential public infrastructure and municipal facility projects. You will lead projects from design through construction, working with power distribution, motor controls, VFDs, emergency power, switchgear, transformers, SCADA systems and other complex electrical infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or closely related field.
• Six years of progressively responsible engineering experience, including four years managing complex public works projects with supervisory responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Act as engineer of record for public works projects, guiding design, review and construction for quality and safety compliance.
• Plan, design, and oversee electrical projects including power distribution, motors, VFDs, switchgear, transformers, and SCADA integration.
• Develop project delivery strategies, budgets, milestones, and manage consultants and contractors.
