Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan is seeking an Electrical Engineer II for Morenci, AZ. You will provide technical guidance on electrical projects, support senior engineers, and manage small to medium site construction efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline with 3+ years of related experience.
• Master's degree with 2+ years of related experience in Electrical Engineering.
• Knowledge of Electrical Engineering principles with understanding of Mechanical and Process Engineering techniques.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical advice and guidance for assigned electrical engineering projects.
• Assist Senior Engineer in developing projects using new technology to upgrade safety, efficiencies, and cost controls.
• Review and develop appropriate recommendations for assigned projects.
• Manage small to medium site construction, expansion or modification projects; assist on larger projects.
• Administer contracts with vendors for services and equipment.
• Develop knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations relevant to the area.
• Contribute to site strategic planning and budgeting efforts for designated areas.
• Develop and evaluate AFEs for capital funding requests.
• May represent the site on company committees or task forces.
• Perform other duties as required.
