HFA, an employee-owned multidisciplinary firm, seeks an Electrical Engineer II to lead electrical designs for small to medium projects, applying expertise in power, lighting, and NEC compliance. The role collaborates with clients and multidisciplinary teams, performs advanced calculations, and develops construction documents with minimal oversight.

The position also involves budgeting, quality control, and mentoring junior staff, with potential Engineer of Record responsibilities on select

Qualifications

• BSEE from ABET-accredited program.
• Licensed Professional Engineer status or ability to obtain licensure in multiple states is preferred.
• Experience leading electrical design on small to medium projects with minimal oversight.

Responsibilities

• Lead client teams (1–5 staff) on lighting and power design across projects.
• Perform advanced calculations and QA to ensure NEC and national standards compliance.
• Develop construction documents and specifications with attention to detail.
• Manage project budgets and coordinate with team leads for financial success.
• Mentor less experienced staff and serve as a technical resource.
• Possible Engineer of Record on select projects with approved authority.
