Job summary

VoltAir Inc. is a Tampa-based engineering firm delivering electrical, mechanical, and IT design for diverse facilities. The Electrical Engineer II will design electrical systems, coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams, and contribute to BIM and construction administration across project phases.

This role emphasizes adherence to codes, mentoring junior staff, and maintaining strong client relationships. The position requires a US work authorization, a B.S.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the United States and based in Tampa, Florida or Atlanta, Georgia.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• At least 5 years of electrical engineering design experience for commercial buildings.
• PE, or EIT preferred.
• Experience coordinating with multi-discipline teams and knowledge of codes.

Responsibilities

• Define project scope and develop electrical system designs (lighting, power distribution, emergency generation, fire alarm, security).
• Create cost-effective layouts and verify code compliance.
• Prepare BIM drawings and coordinate with all disciplines through all project phases.
• Perform construction administration tasks including site observations and punch lists.
• Manage scope and client communications to keep projects on track.
