Job summary

American Outdoor Brands Corporation seeks an Electrical Engineer II to drive new product development, leading the design of electronic assemblies and embedded firmware for outdoor gear and innovative products.

You will collaborate with mechanical engineers, product designers, and suppliers to integrate PCBAs, optimize components for manufacturing, and develop test plans with quality engineers, all while maintaining strong communication and a passion for the outdoors.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience preferred.
• Experience with Embedded Firmware Development (Assembly, C, C++) is desired.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, analysis, and evaluation of projects to meet requirements.
• Collaborate with Product Designers and Engineers to integrate PCBAs into housings and systems.
• Demonstrate proficiency in software and embedded firmware design to enhance product functionality.
• Design electronic circuitry for lights, lasers, measurement equipment, controllers, and connected devices.
• Manage end-to-end development of PCB designs for manufacturing.
