Job summary
RTX’s Collins Aerospace in Cedar Rapids, IA, seeks an Electrical Engineer to develop digital hardware for high-performance computing products and network switch components for commercial avionics platforms. This is an on-site role in Cedar Rapids, focused on circuit-board design, certification support, and obsolescence management.
You will work on troubleshooting, design verification, and collaboration with OEM customers to ensure reliability and on-time delivery, with learning opportunities in
Qualifications
- Typically requires a STEM degree and minimum 2 years of relevant experience or an advanced degree in a related field.
- Previous or current experience in an Electrical Engineering role.
Responsibilities
- Design circuit/board layouts to support product lifecycle.
- Support product recertification (TSO/PMA) driven by changes.
- Identify cost savings to the standard product cost.
- Support production to achieve on-time delivery goals.
- Resolve product issues and technical inquiries from OEM customers.
- Troubleshoot equipment from field or OEM assembly line.
- Evaluate part change notifications (obsolete/end-of-life parts).
- Evaluate designs for DTC, DFM, and DFT.
