Salary: $80,000 - $100,000

Reports To: Engineering Manager

Work Hours: 8 am - 5 pm

FLSA Status: Exempt

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Develop detailed electrical specifications, schematics, and production drawings for overhead crane equipment using computer-assisted drafting software such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
• Review customer schematics and specifications to ensure conformance with electrical codes and design requirements.
• Generate detailed Bill of Materials for electrical designs.
• Assist in troubleshooting and provide technical support for electrical components.
• Develop standard electrical design procedures, templates, and documents.
• Collaborate with mechanical engineering and manufacturing teams.
• Utilize Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook effectively.
• Maintain organization and prioritize multiple tasks efficiently.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• 2-8 years of experience in electrical schematic layout and design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD for electrical schematics and drawings.
• Extensive knowledge of electric motors and motor drives.
• Strong understanding of electrical codes and practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Additional Qualifications:

• Experience in overhead crane design or VFD crane controls.
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulations such as CMAA.
• Experience with SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD programs.
