Description
Position Summary: Responsible for coordination of all technical activities on assigned projects, specifically related to IFE/Electrical or Actuation systems. Plans, schedules, conducts, and coordinates electrical engineering work; ensures compliance with Airframe requirements, IFE supplier standards, customer specifications, and RECARO standards. Facilitates effective communication among project disciplines and participants, ensuring contract requirements are met.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate electrical design and integration of electronics into aircraft seats, collaborating with Designers, Engineers, Project, Certification, and Support teams.
- Plan, schedule, and track engineering tasks; report to management.
- Translate technical customer requirements into team actions, ensuring expectations are met.
- Create Acceptance Test Procedures (ATPs) based on vendor testing protocols.
- Develop Grounding Bonding Calculations (ELDs) by assessing electrical resistance paths.
- Perform root cause analysis on MRB actions, presenting resolutions across departments.
- Engage with external suppliers during design phases.
- Participate in international telecoms, applying manufacturing engineering insights.
- Utilize knowledge of airframe regulations and parts lists with high variant diversity.
- Ensure manufacturing procedures meet client specifications through electrical schematics creation.
- Lead design meetings, discuss changes, and address customer concerns in conformance with regulations.
- Support sourcing and production with BOMs and documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Manufacturing Engineering with 3-7 years of experience or equivalent.
- Experience with electrical component design, integration, and certification in aircraft interiors.
- Knowledge of aircraft documentation systems (CMM, SB) and configuration control.
- Excellent communication skills; multicultural experience is a plus.
- At least 2 years’ experience with CATIA V5 and electrical design modules.
- Proficiency with PLM systems like Teamcenter, Agile, or Enovia.
- Competence in Microsoft Office suite.
- Knowledge of software programming and control is advantageous.
