Job summary

Castillo Engineering is seeking an Electrical Engineer I to design utility-scale solar and battery storage projects, deliver IFC drawings, and perform electrical studies under mentorship. You will work on AutoCAD tasks, calculations, and energy modelling in a collaborative, process-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in electrical engineering or related discipline.
• 2+ years’ experience designing commercial, DG or utility-scale solar PV systems.
• 2+ years’ experience with AutoCAD including layer control, dimensions, sheets and blocks.
• Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, PVSyst.
• NABCEP Certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer PV or BESS systems from 5 MW to 500+ MW.
• Create construction drawings and electrical diagrams in AutoCAD.
• Perform LVAC, MVAC and DC calculations for cable sizing and voltage drop.
• Conduct energy modelling using PVSyst, SAM, etc.
• Coordinate with clients, utilities, permit agencies and contractors.
• Lead project calls, respond to RFIs, and support site visits as needed.
• Adhere to NEC and safety standards in all designs.
