Job summary

Saber Power Services, based in Houston, TX, is seeking an Electrical Engineer I to join our professional services group. You will support the design and execution of high voltage EPC projects, under guidance from senior engineers, developing technical deliverables and performing basic analyses.

This entry-level role emphasizes hands-on learning, coordinating with designers, and gaining field exposure through site visits and commissioning activities, while adhering to IEEE/ANSI/NEC/NESC standards.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited degree in electrical engineering.
• FE exam pursued or passed is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of power systems and electrical engineering principles.

Responsibilities

• Assist design of high voltage electrical systems for projects.
• Prepare engineering deliverables: one-line diagrams, protection schematics, layouts, BOMs.
• Perform basic calculations: load flow, voltage drop, short-circuit analysis.
• Review vendor submittals and drawings for compliance.
• Support field teams during site visits and commissioning.
