Job summary

Saber Power Services, based in Houston, TX, seeks a Designer III – Electrical to design electrical power systems for utility, renewable, and industrial projects. You will develop detailed designs, drawings, and layouts while ensuring compliance with codes and client standards.

You will mentor junior designers, coordinate with engineers, and support multiple projects from concept through construction, delivering high-quality construction drawings on time.

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• Minimum 5 years electrical design experience in utility/substation/renewable projects.
• Proficient with AutoCAD, MicroStation; AutoCAD Electrical a plus.
• Experience with 3D modeling tools (Inventor, Revit, Bentley OpenUtilities) is beneficial.
• Familiarity with NEC, NESC, IEEE and utility drafting standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare electrical design drawings and construction packages for substations and energy projects.
• Create single-line, three-line, wiring diagrams and schematics.
• Coordinate designs with engineers and project teams.
• Revise drawings per markups and client comments.
• Mentor junior designers and support project schedules.
