Job summary

Zachry Nuclear Engineering, Inc. seeks engineers to perform a variety of electrical engineering and design activities for power plant upgrades and new power plant projects.

You will work under the supervision of senior staff, applying standard methods and procedures to evaluate conditions and develop modifications to improve performance, safety, and reliability. Ideal candidates hold a BS in electrical engineering, with knowledge of power distribution systems and familiarity with load flow,

Qualifications

• BS in electrical engineering from an ABET accredited university.
• Knowledge of electrical power distribution systems (switchgear, MCCs, circuit breakers) and familiarity with load flow, voltage drop, and short circuit calculations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present results clearly.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Willingness to pass security and drug screening and travel to client sites.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering and design activities for power plant upgrades and new projects under supervision.
• Assist with calculations, modifications, and designs to improve plant performance, safety, and reliability.
• Work with project teams to evaluate conditions and propose design changes.
• Travel to client sites; field and office work; ability to walk down equipment in industrial environments.
