Job summary

Zachry Nuclear Engineering, Inc. in Kentucky seeks an Engineer I to support power plant upgrades and new generation projects under the guidance of senior engineers. The role involves analyses, calculations, design development, and field support to improve safety, reliability, and efficiency of plant operations.

Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering (ABET) is required, with 0–2 years of experience. FE cert and experience with ETAP/SKM are a plus; travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
• Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university (preferred).
• FE exam completion is a plus and relevant internship/co-op experience may apply.

Responsibilities

• Support engineering and design activities for power plant projects.
• Assist with engineering studies, calculations, and technical evaluations.
• Apply established engineering standards and procedures.
• Support development of design modifications and technical solutions.
• Prepare engineering documentation and deliverables.
• Participate in technical reviews and design discussions.
• Perform equipment walkdowns and field assessments.
• Travel to client sites as needed and support startup activities.
