Job summary

Advanced Energy, located in Eden Prairie, MN, is seeking an Electrical Engineer I to design, test, and bring to market advanced switch‑mode power supplies and power conversion solutions. You will work with experienced engineers across the product lifecycle, from concept to manufacturing support.

You will gain hands‑on experience, solve real‑world engineering challenges, and contribute to technologies powering critical applications globally, in a fast-paced lab environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with testing, debugging and validation of circuit designs.
• Hands-on experience with lab equipment common in power electronics.
• Ability to analyze schematics and circuits for debugging and improvement.
• Familiarity with safety and regulatory considerations in power electronics.

Responsibilities

• Be a critical member of the product development engineering team.
• Assist in development, testing, and debugging of prototype power supply subsystems.
• Test products and subsystems using lab equipment and measurement tools.
• Contribute to design analyses, documentation, and cross‑functional collaboration.
