Job summary

Amrize seeks an Electrical Engineer I to lead electrical maintenance at the Midlothian cement plant. You will supervise technicians, oversee electrical and instrumentation work, and ensure safe, compliant, and efficient control system operations.

You will document schematics and manage spares, while supporting projects to improve reliability and reduce costs. The role requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering and familiarity with PLCs, instrumentation, motors, and VFDs, with on-site

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of PLC programming and process control systems preferred (CTI, PLC-5, SLC500).
• Experience with instrumentation, motors, starters and VFDs, and communication protocols.
• Adherence to safety protocols and use of Amrize PPE; clean shaven for respirator seal where required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise electrical and instrumentation technicians; assign work and record work history in SAP.
• Develop electrical preventive and predictive maintenance programs and analyze data for reliability.
• Document electrical schematics and manage spare parts inventory; ensure environmental compliance.
• Evaluate computer control equipment and modify process control programs as needed.
• Provide control system training and support for plant personnel; troubleshoot hardware/software issues.
• Participate in reliability-improvement projects; on-call rotation; uphold health and safety policies.
