Bowman is seeking an Electrical Engineer I to join the Towson, MD team. The role focuses on electrical design, development of construction documents, and coordinating with project teams to meet client needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related discipline required.
• Entry level position; any professional experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and REVIT software, SKM software tools, and/or Lighting Design software (i.e., AGI, Visual, etc.).
• EIT and LEED accreditation preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Progress toward or plans to pursue Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design appropriate electrical systems in accordance with current code requirements and sound engineering principles.
• Communicate effectively with engineers, project manager, and client.
• Conduct field observations to document existing conditions.
• Organize/prioritize multiple tasks to complete the design on a schedule.
• Complete electrical calculations such as load studies, voltage drop, and generator sizing.
• Produce project construction documents meeting milestones within budget.
• Attend coordination and design meetings as needed.
• Assist with project specifications and budget construction cost estimating.
• Address comments from clients and review authorities; adjust designs accordingly.
