Job summary

Bowman is seeking an Electrical Designer IV to join our Towson, MD team. The role focuses on advanced electrical design and construction documents, using AutoCAD and Revit, while coordinating with engineers and clients to ensure compliant, constructible solutions.

You will produce detailed drawings, perform design calculations, and mentor junior designers, contributing to project plans, budgets, and schedules in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in CAD/design or equivalent highly preferred.
• Eight+ years of relevant experience in land development, construction, or utilities.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar engineering design software.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed electrical drawings and models using CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit).
• Prepare, review, and revise drawings to communicate design intent.
• Develop production drawing packages and 3D engineering drawings.
• Perform design calculations and specify materials/equipment.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior designers.
• Support QA/QC reviews of drawings and specifications.
