Leonardo DRS is seeking an Electrical Engineer I to join our Naval Power Systems team in Menomonee Falls, WI. You will work hands-on with design, development, modification, and analysis of electronics systems for naval ships and submarines, with mentoring from senior engineers.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, internship experience in design/product development, and knowledge of power electronics, power distribution, circuit boards, or semiconductors.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field with internship experience in design/product development.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, analyze, document and support testing of products, systems or subsystems while working closely with senior Engineers.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions in existing products or systems and make modifications as needed.
• Compile and evaluate design and test data.
• Analyze, develop, and recommend design approaches.
• May use computer-aided engineering or other design/analysis software in the performance of assignments.
• Provide regular reporting of progress and status.
• Review customer specifications and requirements, and under direction, develop designs to best support them, including cost as a key design variable.

Job Summary

Join our talented team of Engineers in Menomonee Falls, WI as an Electrical Engineer I. We are looking for an energetic and curious individual who is ready to learn and grow within an organization. Our Electrical Engineers are hands on with design, development, modification, and analysis of various electronics systems including motor controller and power conversion applications for naval ships and submarines.

What You Will Do

• Design, develop, analyze, document and support testing of products, systems or subsystems while working closely with senior Engineers
• Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions in existing products or systems and makes modifications as needed
• Compile and evaluate design and test data
• Analyze, develop, and recommend design approaches
• May use computer-aided engineering or other design/analysis software in the performance of assignments
• Provide regular reporting of progress and status

Education & Experience Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field + some internshipexperience in design and product development
• Knowledge of power electronics, power distribution, circuit board design, and/or semi-conductors is much preferred
• Motivated and engaged; comfortable in a team environment but also okay with working independently sometimes

U.S. Citizenship required. This position may require an active DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain such clearance within a reasonable time after commencement of employment.
