Job summary

Affiliated Engineers, Inc. (AEI) in Denver, CO seeks an Electrical Engineer I to join a collaborative team delivering energy-efficient building solutions.

You will be mentored by senior engineers, perform load calculations, sizing, layouts, equipment sizing, field surveys, and review shop drawings, with growth toward leading project teams and client meetings. Qualifications

• BSEE/BSAE from ABET accredited school in Electrical or Architectural Engineering.
• Minimum GPA of 2.5.
• Non-academic internship.
• Leadership involvement in extracurricular activities preferred.
• EIT certification (Passed the FE exam) a plus.
• Internship experience in the MEP consulting engineering field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform load calculations, determine system sizing and layouts, calculate equipment sizes, select equipment, complete field surveys, and review equipment shop drawings.
• Lead electrical project teams, write specifications, participate in project meetings with clients and other consultants, and support construction-phase work as you gain experience.

As an Electrical Engineer I in our Denver office, you will help us empower our clients to achieve energy-efficient building solutions, save global environments, and create a better, greener future for all.

In this role, you will initially work with and be mentored by experienced engineers and will yourself help to mentor designers. Your initial assignments will include performing load calculations, determining system sizing and layouts, calculating equipment sizes, selecting equipment, completing field surveys, and reviewing equipment shop drawings.
