Job summary

Gradian, headquartered in Maple Grove, MN, is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design and integrate control systems for air cooling equipment, AHUs, CRAHs, and DX units. You will contribute to electrical design documentation and BOMs while supporting prototypes and testing.

You will collaborate with mechanical, thermal, refrigeration, and controls teams to ensure safe, code-compliant solutions that are buildable in a fast-paced NPD environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 3+ years of professional electrical engineering experience in HVAC/industrial OEM environments.
• Proficiency with electrical CAD software (AutoCAD Electrical preferred; SOLIDWORKS Electrical or EPLAN considered).
• Knowledge of NEC (NFPA 70) and related safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Design and update electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts for power distribution and control systems.
• Develop and maintain BOMs with part documentation and revision control.
• Support prototype builds, troubleshoot wiring issues, and document corrections.
• Create FAT/SAT checklists and test procedures for HVAC electrical systems.
• Collaborate with mechanical, thermal/airflow, refrigeration, and controls teams to ensure design-for-manufacturability and compliance.
