Qualifications

• Must have: Electronic Component Engineering with datasheet interpretation, lifecycle management, and component qualification.
• Strong schematic capture and PCB layout skills.
• Experience with CAD/3D modeling tools for electromechanical design.
• Solid understanding of electronic components, datasheets, and lifecycle management.
• Familiarity with firmware/hardware integration and embedded systems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct BoM scrubs to identify at-risk and EOL components; qualify alternates.
• Perform Change Impact Analysis on component changes with risk ratings.
• Author and execute ECO packages with updated schematics, PCB layouts, CAD models, validation plans.
• Coordinate with firmware/software teams to validate releases against hardware configurations.
• Conduct 8D Failure Analysis including containment, root cause, corrective actions, preventive measures.
• Collaborate with quality, manufacturing and design teams to resolve field/production failures.
