Job summary

The Thomas Young Group, an employee-owned engineering firm in Charlotte, is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design and develop electrical systems for commercial, industrial, and institutional projects. You’ll use Autodesk REVIT to design and draft, coordinate with project teams, and prepare technical reports and specifications.

Ideal candidates hold a ABET-accredited degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering with an electrical focus and have 2–4 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an electrical focus from an ABET-accredited university.
• 2-4 years of applicable experience working on similar facilities.
• Process-oriented with strong organization, technical, and communication skills.
• Ability to take and understand directives from Project Manager and Electrical Lead while coordinating with the design team.
• Comfortable working independently when needed but also effective in a team setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and development of electrical systems for commercial, industrial, and institutional projects.
• Coordinate with project teams to ensure effective communication and design execution.
• Utilize Autodesk REVIT for electrical design and drafting.
• Support the preparation of technical reports, drawings, and specifications.
• Ensure compliance with NEC and other relevant regulations.
