Exelon is seeking a Transmission & Substation Engineer to design and expand ComEd substations, meeting load growth and reliability objectives. You will translate forecasts into scalable projects, guide engineering decisions, and mentor engineers while supporting storm and energy-delivery contingencies.

The role emphasizes state-of-the-art technical guidance, collaboration across departments, and adherence to internal/industry standards, with extended hours during storms as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or PE license.
• Ability to analyze complex electrical and mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of codes, standards and engineering practices.
• 4–7 years of professional engineering experience.
• Engineer in Training or advanced degree reduces OJT requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex power system projects from planning through commissioning.
• Perform end-to-end project planning, design, procurement and construction support.
• Provide technical guidance and mentor team members.
• Collaborate across engineering, operations and planning functions.
• Perform battery/AC/DC calculations and protection studies.
