Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to support a leading engineering and systems integration organization. The role is based in the McLean, VA area with opportunities in Atlanta, GA and Raleigh, NC.

Responsibilities include leading in-house testing and on-site commissioning of fire alarm and life-safety systems, system programming and troubleshooting, and assisting with design, shop drawings, surveys, and BOMs.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 2+ years’ experience.
NICET II certification in fire detection and alarm systems.
Eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
Knowledge of fire alarm systems, NFPA codes, and building regs.
Experience with AutoCAD and Revit for drawings and design.

Responsibilities

Lead in-house testing and onsite commissioning of fire alarm and life safety systems.
Perform system programming, troubleshooting, and technical support.
Assist in system design, including shop drawings, calculations, and deliverables.
Conduct site surveys, produce reports, and develop takeoffs and bill of materials.
Support project execution, scheduling, documentation, and issue resolution.
Provide training, maintain project records and as-builts, and support closeout activities.
