Job summary

DEFTEC Corporation seeks an Electrical Engineer to lead planning and design for multi-phase construction projects. You will manage surveys, budgets, design documentation, and coordination with engineers, architects, and contracting officers to ensure compliant, data-driven project delivery.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (ABET-accredited) and 5+ years of relevant experience, with proficiency in CAD, GIS, and modeling software to support complex facility programs.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (ABET-accredited) with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
Knowledge of architectural, mechanical, and structural disciplines for design integration.
Ability to manage budgets, design documentation, and site surveys.

Responsibilities

Perform planning and design for multi-phase construction for real property facilities and complex utility systems.
Manage construction projects ensuring contractor compliance with specs, schedules, and safety requirements.
Plan, program, and budget engineering projects using government cost-estimating tools and AFCAMP processes.
Serve as technical consultant and project coordinator liaising with engineers, architects, planners, and contracting officers.
Collect, evaluate, and analyze technical data using CAD, GIS, and modeling software to drive design decisions.
Comply with health, safety, and environmental codes across project delivery.
